Cradle of one of the most enigmatic civilizations in history, the nerve center during the colony and holder of eleven World Heritage Sites, make it a more than a special destination. Get closer to its history and explore some of the most spectacular landscapes on the planet, including the magnificent citadel of Machu Picchu.
Day 1 - Arrival Lima
Upon arrival at Lima's Jorge Chávez International Airport, a transportation service and a representative will greet you and transfer you to the selected hotel.
Day 2 - Lima – City Tour & Larco Museum
Our guide will pick you up from your hotel to begin your tour of Lima's Historic Center. You will start by visiting Casa Aliaga, a colonial mansion with more than 5 centuries of history and considered the oldest house in the Americas. Next, you will explore the Plaza Mayor, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site, where you can visit the impressive Lima Cathedral. To conclude, you will visit the Larco Museum, located in an 18th-century colonial house, where you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in more than 5,000 years of ancient Peru's history. Day 3 - Lima - Cusco / City Tour & Nearby Archaeological Sites
A transportation service will take you from the selected hotel to Lima's Jorge Chávez International Airport.
Domestic flight from Lima to Cusco.
Upon arrival at Cusco's Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport, a transportation service and a representative will greet you and transfer you to the selected hotel.
Enjoy a guided tour of the charming and magical city of Cusco, the former capital of the Inca Empire. Accompanied by the group, you will visit the Santo Domingo Convent, located on the site of the ancient Coricancha temple. Next, you will explore the Basilica Cathedral of the Virgin of the Assumption, the main temple of Cusco. Then, you will head to the Cusco hills, starting with the Sacsayhuamán Fortress, followed by a visit to the archaeological site of Qenqo. You will continue with a visit to the military architectural complex of Puca Pucara and the ruins of Tambomachay, also known as the Bath of the Inca. Finally, you will return to the selected hotel. The Cusco Tourist Ticket (BTC), included in the itinerary, is a personal and non-transferable document that provides access to 16 key attractions in Cusco and its surroundings, such as Sacsayhuamán, Qenqo, Puca Pucará, and Tambomachay. It also grants entry to various sites in the Sacred Valley circuit, including Ollantaytambo, Pisac, Moray, and Chinchero.
Day 4 - Cusco - Sacred Valley | Chinchero, Ollantaytambo & Living Museum of Yucay
A transportation service will pick you up in the morning to take you to the picturesque town of Chinchero. You will begin by exploring the impressive agricultural terraces and the 17th-century church, built on an ancient Inca palace and recognized as one of the first Catholic buildings in Peru. On the way, you will make a stop at a viewpoint to enjoy the spectacular landscapes of the Sacred Valley. Next, you will visit the Yucay Living Museum, where you can witness the creation of textiles, adobe crafts, pottery, and silverware using ancient Inca techniques. You will also enjoy a delicious traditional lunch in the Sacred Valley.
After lunch, you will head to the impressive Ollantaytambo Fortress, an important ceremonial center known for its stunning agricultural terraces that stretch across the slopes of the surrounding mountains. At the end of this full-day tour, you will return to the hotel to relax and soak in the renewed Inca spirit. This tour is shared with other passengers.(BL).
Day 5 - Sacred Valley - Machu Picchu - Cusco
A transport will pick you up from your hotel in Urubamba (Sacred Valley) and take you to the Ollantaytambo train station. This transfer is shared with other passengers.
Board the Voyager train of Inca Rail from Ollantaytambo station to Aguas Calientes station (Machu Picchu Pueblo). Upon arrival, you will receive assistance. For your return to Ollantaytambo station, you will board the 360° train. Both trips last approximately one and a half hours each, and schedules are subject to availability.
Aguas Calientes, located on the slopes of Machu Picchu, offers a vibrant handicraft market, a variety of restaurants, and accommodation options. Just a 25-minute bus ride away, you’ll find Machu Picchu, an impressive feat of engineering and architecture believed to have served as a sanctuary and retreat for Inca Pachacútec. Designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the New Seven Wonders of the Modern World, Machu Picchu, meaning "Old Mountain," captivates with its historical grandeur and natural majesty. After the visit, you will return by bus to Aguas Calientes and proceed with your journey back to Cusco. This tour is shared with other passengers.
You will enjoy a delicious set menu lunch at the Café Inkaterra, offering a unique view of the Vilcanota River. This restaurant combines Andean cuisine and architecture with contemporary trends, creating a meal with an original and fusion-style flavor.(BL)
Day 6 - Cusco - Departure
A transportation service with a representative will take you from the selected hotel to Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport in Cusco.(B)
