4 Days: Puerto Varas
Tour overview:

Puerto Varas, is your gateway to this area in Southern Chile. The “City of Roses” is located on the shores of calm Lake Llanquihue with amazing views of the distant volcanoes. This area was settled by German immigrants bringing their culture and architecture.


Day 1 - Arrive Puerto Montt – Puerto Varas

Welcome at Puerto Montt airport and transfer to the city of Puerto Varas. Rest of the evening at leisure. Overnight at hotel.


Day 2 - Full Day Osorno Volcano & Petrohue

We begin our tour from Puerto Varas “The City of the Roses” going to Osorno Volcano, by the shore of Llanquihue lake we enjoy the Amazing landscape with the Osorno and Calbuco volcanoes, until we get to Ensenada where we start to ascend to the Osorno Centro de Ski y Montaña, located at 1.240 meters (3937 feet). There we will stay about an hour, will be time for sightseeing, take pictures, and appreciate a unique view to the summit of the volcano with glaciers of eternal snow, the Calbuco, Lake Llanquihue and the Pacific Ocean. Later we will go to Petrohue at Vicente Perez Rosales National Park, on a road by the Llanquihue lake shore, enjoying the landscape and magnificent view of the volcanoes Osorno and Calbuco until we get to Petrohue located nearby Todos los Santos Lake. There we can take a soft walk surrounded by an ever green forest, the Osorno volcano and the beautiful Turquoise colour of Petrohué River. By paying an entrance fee to the National Park we get to see one of the most beautiful places of the country, “Petrohué River Falls”, a place where the river jumps great masses of lava crystallized immune to erosion for centuries and formed by smaller stones together by a glassy material that highlights the light. Day 3 - Half Day Llanquihue & Frutillar

We start our trip to Frutillar, first visiting the city of Llanquihue, famous for their sausages, and it is where Maullin River begins, and this area is part of the ancient Route of Settlers. In the city we visit the Memorial to the German Colonists, and then we will continue along the Llanquihue Lake to the Frutillar city. This city is a beautiful village that recalls the old Bavaria, from there were the first settlers who arrived to this area. The city started in 1856 as a boarding pier, soon appeared tanneries, mills, breweries, etc. We will walk around its beautiful old houses of German style, admiring the gardens and incomparable views of the volcanoes Osorno and Puntiagudo. (B)


Day 4 - Puerto Varas – Puerto Montt / Depart

At the scheduled time you will be transferred from Puerto Varas to Puerto Montt. (B)
