Day 1 - Arrival Panama City
Upon arrival at Tocumen International Airport (PTY), you will be warmly welcomed by a bilingual driver-guide, who will assist you throughout the arrival process and provide a smooth introduction to Panama. The transfer will be provided in a comfortable, air-conditioned standard vehicle, allowing you to relax after their flight. You will be transferred directly to the Le Meridien Panama Hotel.

Day 2 - Embera Indigenous Experience: Living culture in the rainforest
After breakfast, you will depart on a remarkable cultural journey into the heart of the Chagres National Park to visit an Emberá Indigenous Village, nestled deep within the rainforest. The experience begins with a peaceful ride along the river aboard traditional hand-carved dugout canoes, offering an immersive approach through pristine jungle scenery. Upon arrival, travelers are warmly welcomed by the Emberá community and invited to experience a way of life that has endured for generations through traditional music and dances, storytelling, and cultural exchange. Guided by the Emberá themselves, you will learn about the surrounding jungle, its wildlife, medicinal plants, and ancestral traditions that continue to shape their daily lives. The visit also highlights the remarkable craftsmanship of Emberá women, known for their intricate palm-leaf baskets, with the opportunity to experience symbolic body painting using natural fruit dyes. Before returning to the city, you will enjoy a traditional Emberá lunch featuring fresh fish and plantains, complemented by tropical fruits, making this an authentic and deeply meaningful cultural encounter. Day 3 - Panama Canal: Miraflores Visitor Center & Gamboa Rainforest Reserve
Departure from the hotel to the Miraflores Visitor Center, where you will witness one of the world’s greatest engineering achievements in action. From the observation platforms, travelers will have the opportunity to watch massive vessels transiting the Panama Canal locks, offering a fascinating perspective on global maritime trade and the daily operations of this historic waterway. The visit continues with the IMAX film experience, narrated by Morgan Freeman, which brings to life the history, construction, and global significance of the Panama Canal through powerful imagery and storytelling.
Departure from Miraflores toward the Gamboa Rainforest Reserve to begin a boat expedition on Gatun Lake, one of the most unique waterways in the world. The journey starts by navigating the Chagres River, gradually entering the vast waters of Gatun Lake, where ships transit on their way to the Canal locks. This rare experience allows you to share the waterway with transiting vessels, highlighting the extraordinary coexistence of engineering and nature. The tour continues around several islands, offering opportunities to observe the rich local flora and fauna. With a bit of luck, you may spot monkeys, crocodiles, birds, iguanas, and other wildlife native to the area. After returning to the marina, you will proceed directly to the hotel to enjoy a buffet lunch at one of the hotel’s restaurants. (BL)
Day 4 - Panama through time: history, heritage & flavors
After breakfast, you will depart for an exclusive Geisha coffee tasting experience, offering the opportunity to savor one of the world’s most celebrated and award-winning coffees. Originally introduced to Panama in the 20th century, Geisha coffee is internationally renowned for its delicate floral aroma and refined complexity, providing an elegant introduction to Panama’s cultural and agricultural heritage. The journey continues to Panamá La Vieja, the archaeological remains of the first European city founded on the Pacific coast of the Americas in 1519. This historic site marks the origins of Panama’s strategic importance as a crossroads of the Spanish Empire. Following the visit, return to the hotel for check-out. While a dedicated luggage vehicle transfers all luggage directly to The Westin Playa Bonita, you will remain with your guide and proceed to enjoy lunch at leisure at a local restaurant, with personalized recommendations provided.
After lunch, the experience continues with a panoramic tour along the Amador Causeway, offering sweeping views of the Panama Canal entrance, the Pacific Ocean, and Panama City’s modern skyline.
