Day 1 - Arrive Chennai
Upon arrival in Chennai after clearing immigrations and customs you will be met and transferred to hotel.
Day 2 - Chennai
Morning is free to relax. Afternoon tour of Chennai takes you to Victoria Art Gallery, Bronze Gallery and Chennai Museum. The Fort St. George, San Thome Cathedral and Kapaleeswarar Temple complete your visit. (B)
Day 3 - Chennai / Tirupati
Morning you will be met at your hotel and drive to Tirupati Tirumala via Kalahasthi, one of the five temples representing the elements of Universe. The temple dedicated to Lord Shiva at Kalahasthi is called as Vayu Linga, representing the element Air. After visiting the temple, continue your drive to Tirupati. On arrival Tirupati, check into the hotel and rest of the day is at your leisure. Overnight stay at Tirupati. (B)
Day 4 - Tirupati / Pondicherry
Morning visit for worshipping Lord Venkateshwara. Marvel the architecture of the temple and the giant idol of the premium deity. Tirupati temple houses world's one of the largest kitchen feeding more than one lakh devotees every day. The temple celebrates a festival every day and festivals' count exceeds number of days in a year. Worship the presiding deity and visit other smaller subshrines inside the temple premises. Post lunch drive to Pondicherry en route visit Mahbalipuram and Kanchipuram Kanchipuram, with its many temples and visit the three that exemplify this sacred town—Kailasantha and Ekambareshwara, dedicated to Lord Shiva, and Vaikuntaperumal dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Continue on to Mahabalipuram, where you will visit the seventh century rock hewn monuments the shore temple, the only surviving one of seven, is a unique example of a temple built of rock quarried elsewhere and carried to shore. Later you will be driven to Pondicherry, arrive and check in at your hotel. (B)
Day 5 - Pondicherry
Morning visit to the Botanical Garden, Église du Sacré-Cœur de Jésus (Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus), The Promenade, Government Park, Manakula Vinayagar Temple, Romain Rolland Library, Sri Aurobindo Ashram, the French Institute of Pondicherry, and the Museums & Art Galleries. Your afternoon is free to relax. (B)
Day 6 - Pondicherry / Tanjore
Drive to Tanjore, en route visit Chidambaram (70 kms / 2 hrs) followed by Gangaikondacholapuram (45kms/1hrs). You will also visit Darasuram (40kms / 1 hrs) and / Kumbakonam (35kms/1hrs). Continue on to Tanjore (40 kms 1 hr on arrival check in at your hotel. (B)
Day 7 - Tanjore / Trichy / Madurai
Morning tour of Tanjore, where you will visit the Brihadeeswara Temple, the Palace, Sangeetha Mahal, Saraswathi Mahal Library, Raja Museum, Temple Museum, and Schwarz Church. Continue on to Trichy, where you will visit the Rock Fort, Sri Jambukeshwara Temple, Tiruvanaikaval, Srirangam, and the city's museums and art galleries. Thereafter, continue to Madurai. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel. In the evening, visit the Meenakshi Amman Temple to witness the evening prayer ceremony. (B)
Day 8 - Madurai / Rameshwaram
Today morning visit Shree Meenakshi Temple, Thirumalai Nayak Palace, the Gandhi Museum, and Mariamman Teppakkulam Tank, site of the annual Teppam, or Float Festival, held in January. Later you will be driven to Rameshwaram, arrive and check in at your hotel. (B)
Day 9 - Rameshwaram
Morning is reserved to visit the main temple for Darshan. The Rameshwaram temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, was constructed during the 17th century. If the legends are to be believed, this temple was built by Lord Rama himself and what we see today is a renovated version. (B)
Day 10 - Rameshwaram / Kanyakumari
After an early breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Kanyakumari. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel. In the afternoon, proceed for a sightseeing tour of Kanyakumari. Visit the Suchindram Temple, Devi Kanyakumari Temple, Vivekananda Rock Memorial, Gandhi Memorial, and Triveni Sangam. In the evening, witness the spectacular sunset at Kanyakumari, renowned as one of the most beautiful sunsets in India. (B)
Day 11 - Kanyakumari / Trivandrum
After breakfast, you will be driven to Trivandrum, on arrival check-in to your hotel. Rest of the is free to relax. (B)
Day 12 - Depart Trivandrum
Today you will picked up from your hotel and transferred to Trivandrum International airport in time for your flight to onward destination. (B)
