Discover magnificent temples, ancient caves, artisan villages, and the sacred cities of Bhubaneswar, Puri, and Konark. Venture beyond the well-known landmarks to experience vibrant tribal markets, traditional crafts, breathtaking waterfalls, and encounters with some of India's most fascinating indigenous communities. This unique itinerary offers an enriching blend of history, spirituality, art, nature, and authentic cultural experiences.
Day 1 - Arrival at Bhubaneswar
Upon arrival at Bhubaneswar airport you will be met and transferred to the hotel.
Day 2 - Bhubaneswar
Morning visit to Kalabhoomi craft museum, Khandagiri & Udaigiri Jain caves. Afternoon sightseeing of famous city temples including Rajarani, Parsurameswar, Mukteswar (Gem of Orissan architecture), Brahmeswar & Lingaraj (it is the biggest temple in Bhubaneswar). (B)
Day 2 - Bhubaneswar
Morning visit to Kalabhoomi craft museum, Khandagiri & Udaigiri Jain caves. Afternoon sightseeing of famous city temples including Rajarani, Parsurameswar, Mukteswar (Gem of Orissan architecture), Brahmeswar & Lingaraj (it is the biggest temple in Bhubaneswar). (B)
Day 3 - Bhubaneswar - Puri
Morning drive to Puri, en route visit Dhauli (Buddhist stupa/ peace pagoda), Hirapur (64 yogini temple), Pipli (the appliqué work village) & Raghurajpur (the Artisan village, the most famous attractions here are the Pattachitra (miniature paintings), palm leaf engravings, wooden toys, tusser paintings etc. Proceed to Puri and check in to the hotel. Evening visit of Lord Jagannath Temple (Non Hindus are not allowed) / Relax on the golden beach of Puri. Temple Overnight at Puri. (B)
Day 4 - Puri – Konark Excursion
Morning drive to Konark to visit the Sun temple (one of the world famous heritage site & famously known as Black Pagoda). En route visit to Ramchandi temple & Chandrabhaga beach (one of the finest beaches with a long stretch of clean sands & the beach has its own lovely serenity). Return back to Puri. Evening visit to beach market. Overnight at Puri. (B)
Day 5 - Puri - Chilika - Gopalpur
Morning drive to Gopalpur enroute visit Raghurajpur the artisans village. Also visit to Manglajodi the birds paradise. Take boat ride to witness Migratory birds. Then proceed to Gopalpur and check in to the hotel. Overnight at Gopalpur. (B)
Day 6 - Gopalpur - Taptapani – Saura Tribe - Rayagada
Morning drive to Rayagada enroute visit Taptapani the hot sulpheric spring & Saura tribal villages . On arrival at Rayagada check in to the hotel. Overnight at Rayagada. (B)
Day 7 - Rayagada - Chatikona - Jeypore
After breakfast drive down to Chatikona to watch the interesting colourful weekly market of Dongriya Kondh Tribes (weekly market commence on Wednesday only). This tribe is one of the most primitive tribe of the Kondhs and they live in the high slopes of the Niyamagiri Hills. Then visit to Minapai (the bamboo craft village ). Later drive to Jeypore. Overnight at hotel in Jeypore. (B)
Day 8 - Jeypore - Onukadelli - Jeypore
After breakfast, drive to Onukadelli to visit the famous Bonda tribes (weekly market commence on Thursday only ), who comes once every week for their weekly market. It is a unique opportunity to see such a colourful concentration of typical tribals at one place. Most interesting is to watch the Bonda woman in their colourful Jewellaries and marketing commodities.Then drive back to Jeypore. Overnight at hotel in Jeypore. (B)
Day 9 - Jeypore - Kunduli – Jagdalpur
After breakfast, drive to Kunduli to visit the weekly market of Paraja tribes (weekly market commence on Friday only). It is the biggest market of the tribal area. Then visit Jagannath Temple & tribal meusem at Koraput. Lunch at Jeypore .Then drive to Jagdalpur and enroute visit the Kotapada (a weaving village). Overnight at Jagdalpur. (B)
Day 10 - Jagdalpur
Morning visit to Bison-horn Maria tribe, famous for their dance & hospitality. Afternoon visit to Tirathgarh Water fall and a market. Overnight Jagdalpur. (B)
Day 11 - Jagdalpur - Kanker
After breakfast drive for Kanker on the way visiting Kondagaon tribal craft of Bell metal, Wrought iron and terracotta and afternoon visit Deer horn Muria tribal villages. Overnight at Kanker Palace. (B)
Day 12 - Kanker-Bhoromdeo
After breakfast drive to Bhoromdeo on the way visiting Gond tribal villages, O/N Bhoromdeo Jungle retreat. (B)
Day 13 - Bhoramdeo
Full day visit to Gond & Baiga tribal villages with picnic lunch. Afternoon visit to Bhoramdeo temple. Overnight at Jungle retreat. (B)
Day 14 - Bhoromdeo – Raipur Departure 130 kms 3 hrs drive
After breakfast transfer to Raipur Airport to catch the afternoon flight for onward journey. (B)
