Seoul
Seoul is the vibrant, high-tech capital of Korea, known for its modern skyscrapers, efficient subways, pop culture, street markets and world class cuisine. Dynamic yet steeped in tradition, it is also famous for its Buddhist temples and palaces, none more renowned than Gyeongbokgung Palace. Some of the city’s other popular attractions are Jogyesa Temple, N Seoul Tower and the Myeong Dong shopping street.
Gyeongju
Once the capital of the Silla Kingdom, Gyeongju is called known as “the museum without walls”. This cultural and spiritual capital of Korea has been designated by UNESCO as one of the world’s ten most historic sites. Gyeongju’s most popular attractions include the Bulguska Temple with its lovely pagodas and bridges, Seogguram Grotto and the National Museum.
Busan
Busan is Korea’s second largest city and the fifth busiest port in the world, It is known for its beautiful beaches, majestic mountains and lip smacking seafood. The city receives global recognition as the host of the Busan International Film Festival. Some of its popular attractions include Taejongdae Park with its vast outcrops and sweeping sea vistas, the world famous Jagalchi fish market and Yongdusan Park.
Jeju Island
Jeju Island is the biggest island in Korea, well known for its natural wonders including waterfalls, white sand seashores and a dormant volcano. The island is best known for its tradition of women divers, or “Haenyeo” which attracts tourists from all over the world. It is also popular for its volcanic landscape of craters and cave-like lava tubes.
