10 Days: Zernez, Bergun, Wergenstein

Tour Overview:
This 10-day holiday takes in three of Switzerland’s official nature parks and focusses on the vast array of hiking opportunities that these beauty spots have to offer. In each of the parks, you will benefit from the local knowledge and experience of your own private guide.

Day 1 – Arrival Switzerland

Upon arrival in Zurich, transfer by rail to Zernez, situated in the Swiss National Park. Check-in at your hotel for 3 nights. Time at leisure to visit the interactive exhibition at the National Park Centre.

Day 2 – Guided Hiking Swiss National Park

After breakfast meet your private guide in the lobby. Your guide will provide in-depth information about the park, the protected wilderness and on flora and fauna. (B)

Day 3 – Individual Hiking Swiss National Park

Enjoy further hiking in this amazing region at your leisure, as per the advice given to you by your guide the previous day. (B)

Day 4 – Individual Hiking Swiss National Park – Park Ela

More time for hiking before making your way to Bergun by train for a 3-night stay in the Park Ela. Dinner this evening is included. (B, D)

Day 5 – Lbula Railway Museum, Hiking Park Ela

After breakfast, take the short walk to the Albula Railway Museum, and discover the history of the UNESCO World Heritage site. Spend the afternoon with some hiking in Park Ela. (B)

Day 6 – Romansh Lesson & Hiking

Switzerland’s fourth official language – Romansh – is spoken in this region, and today offers the chance to learn some basic words and phrases with one of the locals. In the afternoon, time at leisure and/or more hiking. (B)

Day 7 – Morning Hiking, Transfer Naturpark Beverin

Enjoy further hiking before making your way to Naturpark Beverin for a 3-night stay. The first night is spent at the Hotel Capricorn. Dinner this evening is included. (B, D)

Day 8 – Hike Alp Nurdagn

After breakfast, collect your packed lunch and take the 3-hour hike to Alp Nurdagn. From here, there are more optional hikes. Dinner and overnight is at a former cowshed for a truly unique experience at 2261m above sea level. (B, L, D)

Day 9 – Return Hike Naturpark Beverin

After breakfast, collect your packed lunch start the hike downhill back towards Naturpark Beverin. You can challenge yourself with the hike to the summit of Piz Beverin. The final evening of your holiday includes dinner at the Hotel Capricorn. (B, L, D)

Day 10 – Departure

Morning departure and tour end. (B)
