Chernobyl Museum

The Ukrainian National Chernobyl Museum in Kiev is dedicated to the 1986 Chernobyl disaster and its consequences. It houses an extensive collection of visual media, artifacts, scale models and other representational items designed to educate the public about the many aspects of the disaster. The unfortunate event is historically important in the country’s history because it signaled the beginning of the end of Soviet Ukraine.

Lviv

Founded in 1256, the historic city center of Lviv is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Rich in history and culture, Lviv was one of the main trade centers of medieval Europe. The city is full of castles, parks and theatres with Lviv Opera and Ballet theatre as one of its major attractions. The Pirogovo Ethnographic Open-Air Museum and the National History Museum bring back the atmosphere of a bygone era. With cobbled streets, quaint alleys, vintage coffee houses, mouth watering local cuisine and charming architecture, Lviv is Ukraine’s most visited city.
