Day 1: Sunday – Dec. 6 – Arrive Cairo
Arrive in Cairo, Egypt, where you are met and escorted to our hotel.
4-night stay at The Marriott Historical Mena House Hotel, Garden Section
Set amidst 40 acres of verdant gardens, this stunning hotel offers 331 plush rooms and suites offering spectacular views of the mighty Giza Pyramids and the surrounding lush greenery.
Leisure facilities include an outdoor heated pool, Health Club and Spa.
Day 2: Monday – Dec. 7 – Cairo – Giza Pyramids & Sphinx
This morning we meet our dedicated English-speaking Egyptologist Guide who will accompany us throughout the tour. Today we visit the Great Pyramids of Giza, including the Pyramid of Khufu and the Sphinx. Welcome dinner at the hotel. (BD)
Day 3: Tuesday – Dec 8 – Cairo – City Sightseeing & Egyptian Museum
Explore the ancient city of Cairo, including the Citadel, the Alabaster Mosque of Mohammed Ali, and the colorful Khan el Khalili Bazaar. We’ll also visit the spice market and the antique market and have lunch at a local restaurant. Spend the afternoon viewing antiquities at the Egyptian Museum. (BL)
Day 4: Wednesday – Dec. 9 – Cairo – Memphis, and Saqqara.
This morning we visit Memphis, once a vast metropolis and capital of the Old Kingdom. Continue to Saqqara, the oldest stone complex in the world, to see the towering Step Pyramid of Djoser, the earliest of all pyramids. Lunch at a local restaurant and the balance of the day is at leisure. (BL)
Day 5: Thursday – Dec. 10 – Cairo / Abu Simbel / Aswan
Transfer to Cairo Airport for the scheduled domestic flight to Aswan. Connect to the scheduled flight to Abu Simbel. Upon arrival, visit the magnificent Temples of Ramses II & Nefertari. We then depart on the scheduled domestic fight back to Aswan. Arrive and transfer to our hotel. This afternoon we visit the High Dam, Unfinished Obelisk and Philae Temple. (B)
1 night stay at Movenpick Resort Aswan
Pleasing its guests with a spectacular view over the river Nile, the Movenpick Resort Aswan offers a unique location on Elephantine Island. It lies within walking distance of the historical Island’s, touristic sites, central station, and Nubian culture..
Day 6: Friday – Dec.11 – Aswan / Nile River Cruise
We visit the spice market in Aswan with time to have our hands decorated with henna designs! Visit a Nubian village where we are invited for tea inside one of the homes. Meet with women and learn more about culture and handicrafts. Transfer to Nile cruise ship, our home for the next three nights as we cruise the majestic and mystical Nile River. (BLD)
3 Night Nile Cruise on board the M/S Tulip
The M/S Tulip cruise ship was completely refurbished in 2018. The ship features contemporary themed cabins and spacious communal areas with panoramic views from large windows. Each of the standard 40 cabins has a panoramic window and a balcony rail. Cabins and suites offer air- conditioning, en-suite bathroom with bathtub and overhead shower. Hairdryer, satellite TV, and an individual safe, mini-fridge, and tea/coffee making facilities. There is a large sun deck with sunbeds and stylish furniture: a relaxing place to sit and enjoy spectacular views of the Nile.
The swimming pool is ideal for a refreshing dip during the day. The Deck bar offers cool daytime refreshments and the lounge bar offers drinks and entertainment in the evening. There is also a sauna, a small fitness suite that is free to use, and massage service at an additional charge.
Day 7: Saturday – Dec.12 – Nile River Cruise – Aswan / Kom Ombo / Esna
Today we set sail for Kom Ombo. Visit the Ptolemaic Temple of Kom Ombo featured by Agatha Christie, then continue to Esna. (BLD)
Day 8: Sunday – Dec 13 – Nile Cruise – Esna / Luxor – West Bank & Home Hosted Lunch
Early morning sail to Luxor. This morning disembark and visit Luxor’s West Bank – Valley of the Kings and Queens, Temple of Hatshepsut and Colossus of Memnon. A traditional Egyptian lunch is arranged with a family in their home. Tonight visit the illuminated Luxor Temple. (BLD)
Day 9: Monday – Dec. 14 – Nile Cruise / Luxor / Cairo
Morning visit Luxor’s East Bank – Karnak and Luxor Temples. In the afternoon depart on the scheduled domestic flight back to Cairo. Tonight, enjoy a farewell dinner at our hotel. (BD)

Mid-morning pick up by a private car with driver/guide for the journey to Alexandria (approx. 2 ½

Helnan Palestine hotel is a five-star deluxe hotel in a unique location, embracing the Mediterranean scenery. 350 acres of gardens and golden sandy beaches surround its bay. The hotel faces one of the most famous historical landmarks in Alexandria, “Montaza Royal Palace” which was once the site where the late Egyptian royal family vacationed.
Day 11: Wednesday – Dec 16. – Alexandria – City Sightseeing
Full day tour on a private basis with English-speaking Egyptologist guide. First visit Catacombs. This family tomb shows the merging of Egyptian and Roman art and architecture. We see Pompey’s Pillar built to honor Emperor Diocletian who freed Alexandria. Next Citadel of Quitbay in the Mediterranean Sea. Built-in the 15th century by Sultan al-Ashraf Qu’it Bay. Enjoy lunch at a seafood restaurant This afternoon visit Bibliotheca Alexandria (Alexandria Library). (BL)
Day 12: Thursday – Dec 17. – Alexandria / Depart Cairo
We will be transferred back to Cairo airport by our private car and driver/guide. Arrive at approximately 1:30 pm. Board our flight home with memories of our exciting journey through Egypt. (B) Note: An additional overnight or day room may be needed, depending on the flight schedule.

WTG Terms & Conditions
- U.S. citizens must have a visa to enter Egypt.
- U.S. citizens can obtain a renewable single-entry 30-day tourist visa on arrival at Egyptian airports for a 25 USD fee. A multiple entry visa is also obtainable for 60 USD.
Due to the special nature of the programs featured in this brochure, suppliers impose rigid cancellation fees; please be aware that SITA has no control over such fees and cannot make any exceptions to these charges. Note: All cancellations must be received by SITA in writing; cancellation/s will be effective when the written notice is received at SITA’s offices in Encino, CA.
If a cancellation is received after SITA is in possession of the initial deposit, but more than 90 days prior to departure , the cancellation fee incurred will be $350 per person (a higher cancellation fee may apply to some tours). If cancellation is received between 89 and 61 days prior to departure the fee incurred will be 75% of the entire tour price. No refunds whatsoever will be made for cancellations received within the last 60 days prior to departure.
