7 Days: Istanbul, Cappadoci, Kusadasi, Ephesus

Tour overview:
A week-long tour of western Turkey gives you a fascinating glimpse of the important sites in this ancient and modernizing country. A former super power, the Ottoman Empire gave way to the modern Turkish republic after the Great War. The country, due to its location, has always played an important role between East and West.

Day 1 – Arrive Istanbul

Upon your arrival to Istanbul, Turkey, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2 – Istanbul

Full day sightseeing tour of Istanbul. Highlights include Topkapi Palace, St. Sophia, Blue Mosque, Hippodrome and time for shopping at the Grand Bazzar. (B)

Day 3 – Istanbul / Kayseri / Cappadocia

Transfer to the airport for your scheduled flight to Kayseri. Arrive and transfer to Cappadocia with it’s moon-like landscape. Today’s sightseeing includes the Devrent Valley, Pasabagi and the Open Air Museum in Goreme. (BD)

Day 4 – Cappadocia

Enjoy a full day excursion in Cappadocia including a hike thru the Rose Valley with visits to the churches. Thereafter visit the old Christian village of Cavusin. Afternoon visit the Kaymakli Underground City and the Othahisar natural rock castle. (BD)

Day 5 – Cappadocia / Kayseri / Izmir / Kusadasi

Transfer to Kayseri for your scheduled flight to Izmir. Arrive and transfer to your hotel in Kusadasi, a popular seaside resort town on the Aegean Coast. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure. (BD)

Day 6 – Kusadasi – Ephesus

Explore the most exciting ancient site Ephesus with it’s theater, the library of Celsius, gymnasium and Hadrian’s Temple. We also visit Virgin Mary’s stone cottage. (BD)

Day 7 – Kusadasi / Izmir / Depart Istanbul

Transfer to the airport for your scheduled flight to Istanbul. Connect with departure flight. (B)
