Day 1 - Saturday: Taormina Area
In the afternoon free arrival at the selected Hotel in Taormina - area. The customers will find an information brochure at the Hotel reception. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel. (D)

Day 2 - Sunday: Taormina Area - Castelbuono - Cefalu - Palermo
Breakfast in Hotel. Briefing with the tourguide and departure to Castelbuono,a medieval town, which is especially famous for its castle which its name derives and around wich the city grew up in the 14th century. Here you will admire, walking on the streets, the medieval castle and the church of Matrice Vecchia. On to Cefalù to visit this lovely medieval town and its famous cathedral, one of the most beautiful in Sicily, founded by Ruggero II, the first King of Sicily. The cathedral of Cefalù, and some monuments of the Normann period of Monreale and Palermo are acknowledged as a UNESCO heritage site in 2015. On to Palermo. Arrival at the hotel in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight. (BD)

Day 3 - Monday: Palermo - Monreale
After breakfast in hotel half-day guided tour of Palermo, regional and provincial capital of Sicily. We will start the visit from the old part of the city with the Royal Palace, the Palatina Chapel and the Cathedral.Afterwards you will visit Monreale, which is famous for its its Cloister, its Cathedral and its Byzantine mosaics figurating the Christ Pancreator. In the afternoon optional excursion to Monte Pellegrino with the sanctuary of Saint Rosalia, the patron of the city. Here you can enjoy the spectacular views on the city, the surrounding mountains and the see. Goethe once described Monte Pellegrino as the most beautiful promontory in the world. Afterthat on to the small fishing village Mondello with its marvellous beach, where you will have some freetime. Dinner and overnight in hotel at Palermo. (BD)

Day 4 - Tuesday: Erice - Selinunte - Agrigento

Breakfast in the Hotel. Departure to Erice, the medieval town on the summit of Monte San Giuliano. Here in your guided tour you can admire the Norman Castle and the Cathedral. In the meantime you will have a stop at a bakery shop to taste the typical almond pastry of Erice. On to Trapani, the ancient Dreapanum, situated on the headland pointing out to the sea. In the afternoon visit of the archaeological park of Selinunte that contains the ruins of the temples and the Greek Acropolis. Continue to Agrigento for dinner and overnight in the hotel. (BD)

Day 5 - Wednesday: Agrigento - Piazza Armerina - Taormina Mare
Breakfast in the hotel. In the morning with your guide you will visit the Temple Valley in Agrigento, where you can admire the Temple of Juno,the Temple of Concorde, one of the best preserved doric temples in the whole Greek world, the Temple of Ercules and the Temple of Castor and Pollux. Aftern that on to Piazza Armerina where you will have a short break for tasting some typical Sicilian food like olive pate, olives, marmelades and wine. You will visit the Villa Romana del Casale, famous for the most beautiful collection of late-Roman mosaics. On to Taormina area, where you will arrive in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight. Day 6 - Thursday: Taormina Mare - Etna

Breakfast in the hotel and guided excursion to the Mt. Etna, the highest and most active volcano of Europe. The territory surrounding the vulcan is the “Park of Etna", one of the largest protected areas in Italy: you will be astonished about the great variety of vegetation and landscapes that we will meet along the way before arriving at the “ Silvesti Craters" (about 1.900 mt). From here on you will have the possibility to continue the excursion by jeep. Stop at a local beekeeper for a honey- and winetasting.In the afternoon visit of Taormina, situated on a plateau on the slopes of the steeply dropping Monte Tauro, dominating the Ionian coast from Capo Sant'Andrea to Capo Taormina. Possibility to visit the Greek-Roman theatre, the 2nd largest classical theatre in Sicily. Back to the hotel for dinner and overnight. (BD)

Day 7 - Friday: Taormina Mare - Noto - Syracuse

Breakfast in the hotel. Full day excursion. First stop in Noto to discover the beautiful baroque in Sicily. On to Syracuse, one of the most interesting archaeological sites of the island, in which you will visit the Archeological Park, the Roman Amphitheatre, the Greek Theatre, the Ear of Dionysus, the Cave of the Cordari, Island of Ortigia, the most ancient nucleus of the city with its stunning cathedral. Back to the hotel for dinner and overnight. (BD)

Day 8 - Saturday: Taormina Mare
American buffet breakfast at hotel. Transfer to the airport for your onward flight. (B)
