Tour Overview
As you awake to the trumpeting elephants and the graceful pink flamingoes, you will find the essence of Africa in this exciting 8-day adventure. This itinerary captures the spirit of safari with stops in Kenya's majestic game reserves including Samburu and the world famous Masai Mara.

Day 1 – North America / London / Nairobi
Depart North America via London onboard KENYA AIRWAYS' non-stop overnight service to Nairobi.

Day 2 - Arrive Nairobi
Arrive to Nairobi, Kenya, where you are met and escorted to your hotel. Time permitting, enjoy an optional visit to the Karen Blixen Museum and Giraffe Manor for a view of the rare Rothschild giraffe (additional cost).

Day 3 - Nairobi / Samburu or Shaba National Reserve
Depart Nairobi for Samburu or Shaba. Heading north, you'll pass through some breathtaking scenery dotted with rushing mountain streams and tea and coffee plantations. Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive. (BLD)

Day 4 - Samburu or Shaba National Reserve
Today's early morning game drive is followed by breakfast and time to relax at the lodge. After lunch there will be another game drive, returning to the lodge as the sun sets. (BLD)

Day 5 - Samburu or Shaba National Reserve / Mount Kenya
Travel to our lodge on the flanks of Kenya's highest mountain and secreted deep within her largest forest reserve. Fall asleep to the symphony of the African night or sit in stillness and observe the fascinating interplay of the animals as they arrive to drink, bathe, spar and forage around the water hole. (BLD)

Day 6 - Mount Kenya / Lake Nakuru National Park
Awake to the trumpeting of elephant before we head across the Great Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru, with a stop at Nyahururu, still known to many as Thomson's Falls for its 237 foot cascade. Reach Lake Nakuru, often colored a shimmering flamingo pink from thousands of the beautiful birds lining its shores. Enjoy an afternoon game drive in the park. (BLD)

Day 7 - Lake Nakuru / Masai Mara National Reserve
Drive to the Masai Mara National Reserve arriving in time for lunch at a lodge, followed by an afternoon game drive. (BLD)

Day 8 - Masai Mara National Reserve
Encounter prides of lions, gatherings of hippo, and vast herds of wildebeest, zebra and antelope on morning and afternoon game drives. A fabulous balloon safari over the Masai Mara is also available (additional cost). (BLD)

Day 9 - Masai Mara National Reserve / Depart Nairobi / London
Return to Nairobi by road, where a day room is provided before you transfer to the airport for your departure flight. KENYA AIRWAYS's non-stop overnight service to London. (B)

Day 10 – London / North America
Morning arrival in London, and connect with your return flight home to North America.
